Soludo Unveils ‘Solution Lens’ to Boost Transparency and Civic Engagement
Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has launched Solution Lens, a civic tech platform aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and public engagement in governance.
The platform, part of Soludo’s broader open governance agenda, allows citizens to access updates on government projects, report issues, and ask questions—all geared towards improving service delivery.
Developed by the Ministry of Budget & Economic Planning in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and the Anambra State ICT Agency, Solution Lens is operated by trained stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely updates.
At the official launch, the Commissioner for Budget & Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, who represented the governor, called on media outlets and civil society organizations to help publicize the platform.
“This initiative simplifies governance by making it more accessible, transparent, and responsive to citizens,” she said. “It empowers the people and strengthens government processes through real-time feedback.”
Accessible to all—including community members, students, civil society groups, and journalists—Solution Lens encourages users to create accounts to easily monitor and report on government initiatives.
State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, emphasized that the platform underscores Soludo’s vision of leveraging technology to deliver good governance and deepen democratic values. He also announced plans to train public servants in digital skills to support this initiative.
Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, described Solution Lens as an interactive space for citizens to engage with and support government actions in building a more livable and prosperous state.
Prince Chris Azor, Coordinator of the Anambra State Civil Society Network and Co-chair of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) in the state, praised the launch as a significant step toward enhancing transparency. He urged CSOs to fully utilize the platform for meaningful civic engagement.
